Rachel is a friend of mine from my concert photography days. I believe we’ve met first at Tuska Festival a couple of years ago. Since then a lot of time has passed, many things have changed and life took us on new paths. She became a mother to a wonderful little girl, she started new studies and she had to stop photography professionally, but then she’s gotten a wonderful opportunity to go back to her roots as a musician. Now after some years of having music in the background due to motherhood and some injuries, she holds Jascha, her beloved violin again.

When she asked me to take a few photos of her and her violin, I immediately had some ideas of the mood of the photos I wanted to take. I knew I wanted to have a place with seashore and forest available as a location, and luckily Rachel let me to pick out some clothes for her. We went to Destiny store a few days before the session and we chose 3 outfits, that I think suit her really well!

Thank you Lotta and the lovely crew in Destiny to let us use these lovely clothes to create this special look and a mood for our shoot!

We had fun taking these photos on the misty seashore and forest, despite of the cold, and I’m happy I could create the looks I was going for.

Rachel, I’m proud of you for all that you’ve achieved and happy to be your friend!
